IIMBE is working with Atlassian to help plan, develop and deliver the tech giant’s new global headquarters in Sydney.
A renowned world leader at developing and identifying leading technology, Atlassian immediately understood the benefits of leveraging Building Information Modelling (BIM) to enable a better-quality construction project to be built more efficiently with fewer problems.
“By providing a way to ensure many complex building management systems can be cohesively monitored and managed all in the one place, IIMBE is offering solutions based on technology driven by data and analytics, something Atlassian values highly,” said IIMBE Director David Foley.
“Our primary focus on this project is to provide Atlassian with the right information, at the right time, to make informed decisions during planning, development and through the management of their new building into the future.”
A global technology innovator with a strong commitment to employees, the community and environment; Atlassian has an ambition to reduce its energy consumption, reduce the company’s environmental footprint and improve the wellbeing of its occupants in its new headquarters. When the project is completed in 2025, Atlassian’s new building will consume half the carbon in construction and half the energy of a conventional equivalent building, operating on 100 per cent renewable energy.
IIMBE will act as a one-stop-shop monitoring and managing all facets of the project’s delivery, reducing the risk of misinterpretation and human error. Significant time and cost efficiencies will be gained, as issues are identified and rectified much faster, saving between 15-20 per cent of the costs of capital works.
“IIMBE will help Atlassian manage the whole development process with sophisticated, but simple to use and understand information management practices so teams can all view, use and update the same design information in real time. And because our system captures rich data about all components of the building during its creation, IIMBE can also help Atlassian maximise efficiencies of its office asset long into the future,” Foley said.
