He is a founding member of MelBIM and a member of the Victorian Digital Asset Strategy steering committee. His skills in leveraging the power of BIM and Digital Engineering have been instrumental in improving industry productivity, breaking down silos, and reducing project and corporate risk. In 2018, Steve was appointed to the Victorian Digital Asset Strategy Steering Committee by the Chief Engineer of the Victorian State Government. The VDAS Guidance was launched in March 2020, and in June 2021, IIMBE was engaged by the Office of Projects Victoria to incorporate the VDAS Guidance into the Victorian Digital Asset Policy, providing a consistent approach to Digital Engineering across all infrastructure projects in the state. Toby MapleDirector – Digital AdvisoryRecognised as an industry leader in Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Digital Engineering (DE), Toby intimately understands the challenges and opportunities facing large asset owning organisations to effectively implementing change. His experience working from Board and Executive level through to designers and software users ensures change management and business processes are linked across businesses and to organisational and asset management outcomes. Dale ClarkChair and Non-Executive AdvisorAn outstanding leader with over 30 years’ experience in the development, construction and manufacturing industries, including as current Group Executive and Vice President of Project Management, Design and Construction for Campus Living Villages, Dale Clark is a prominent industry advocate who adds further depth and skill to the IIMBE leadership team. His extensive experience across capital project and portfolio management has seen him work with some of Australia’s leading organisations including Stockland, John Holland, Macquarie University, Hooker Cockram, Baulderstone, and Lend Lease. Patrick FingeltonSector Lead – Data CentresPatrick is a highly skilled and passionate Digital Delivery Consultant with over ten years of experience in BIM, and Digital delivery across Australia, UK and Ireland. He began his career working at Intel Ireland, as a BIM coordinator on Europe’s largest BIM level 2 Project. Relocating to London to further his career as a Digital Design Manager, assistant BIM Manager for Chapman-BDSP and Frankham Consultancy, honing his skills while leading BIM teams on multi-million-pound projects. Patrick has developed company BIM standards and processes while improving the digital delivery of projects. In search of a new challenge, Patrick moved to Australia in 2018 where he joined AECOM as a Project BIM Manager. In early 2020, he joined IIMBE. Patrick now specialises in the Digital Delivery of Data Centres, in the past three years he has been an integral part of successfully delivering seven major data centre projects across New Zealand and Australia, in both design and construction. Puspa HortGroup Lead, Digital DeliveryPuspa has extensive knowledge around the development and implementation of BIM workflows and procedures from over 15 years within the Engineering and Construction industries. Puspa has a background in consulting and construction management as well as design and modelling experience across all disciplines of building services. Puspa’s time onsite with a Tier 1 construction firm and as the lead modeller/coordinator with one of Australia’s largest Mechanical Services contractors has provided a stable foundation for the development of his knowledge around the BIM and Digital Delivery. This has led onto technical BIM consultant roles on several high value and landmark construction projects. Mark CroninGroup Lead, Digital AdvisoryMark is passionate about improving Information Management and furthering the use of Building Information Modelling throughout the industry. He is motivated by the potential for technology to improve the built environment as a whole and recognises that change is driven by identifying value for the end client. Having a thorough understanding of organisational change, and experience in analysing and developing custom solutions for transformation, Mark is committed to assisting organisations on their journey. Over the past 18 years, he has worked in Europe and Australia at the forefront of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Digital Engineering (DE). Mark is actively involved with several industry bodies contributing to the future of BIM in Australia, most recently through Standards Australia during the development of ISO19650 and the accompanying ANZ Guide to ISO 19650. Ralph MabungaDigital Advisory Consultant‘With over 15 years of experience in BIM and Digital Engineering, Ralph brings a diverse skillset that encompasses both Digital Delivery and Advisory. Ralph’s experience has seen him perform multiple roles over the years that have involved the creation, management and implementation of Digital Engineering processes and procedures. Through BIM and Digital Engineering, Ralph has worked as the Digital Engineering Manager at multi-discipline engineering and architectural firms. More recently, Ralph has performed both public and private sector digital advisory roles across several capital delivery projects. His experience extends to managing asset information within Digital Engineering, ranging from strategy, implementation, and asset information handover. Bringing with him key strengths in Digital Engineering management and consultation, Ralph has led some of Australia’s most significant projects as the Digital Engineering Manager and while applying his technical expertise, he has developed unique methods for analysing large data sets associated with complex BIM models.’ Ben ShoebridgeDigital Delivery ConsultantBen is a highly skilled and passionate Digital Delivery Consultant with over 7 years of experience within the BIM and Construction space. Dan CockroftSenior Digital Delivery ConsultantDan has over 13 years’ experience with BIM Management & Digital Delivery and brings the perspective of working for Design Consultants, Specialist Consultants, Main Contractors, and Facility/Asset Management teams within the built environment. He has been involved with major projects locally and internationally including New Zealand, Australia, United Kingdom, and the Middle East. Using this experience, he has been able to develop skills to deliver projects within sectors such as Health, Aviation, Rail, Education, Sport, and Residential. Based in Melbourne, Dan joined IIMBE in May 2022 focusing on the New Dunedin Hospital where IIMBE have been appointed as the Independent BIM Consultant. Dan was previously part of the VCCC Joint Venture project team who successfully delivered a $1.2B health care facility on time and within budget. Additionally, he was Project/BIM Manager for the site-based team on the Melbourne Airport Digital Twin which included BIM & GIS strategy and project delivery. Yu-Jen TeoSenior Digital Delivery ConsultantBased in Sydney, Yu-Jen is a highly skilled and passionate Digital Delivery Consultant and has over 25 years of experience in professional consultancies, 10 years of which have been to do with BIM, and Digital Delivery. He began his career as a structural engineer before focussing his career as a Project BIM Manager. Highly motivated with extensive experience in the coordination and auditing of Building Information Models, creation and auditing of BIM Execution Plans across a wide range of sectors including Commercial, Residential, Industrial, Health, Education, Technology, Retail, and Rail and Station Infrastructure. Yu-Jen specialises in authoring and managing updates to the BEP, coordination of consultant and trade contractor model submissions, performing clash detections and subsequent issue identification/tracking/reporting, and resolution for relevant stakeholders to address. Machiel BassonDigital Delivery CoordinatorMachiel is a highly skilled and enthusiastic Digital Delivery Coordinator with experience in BIM and Digital Delivery as well as extensive academic experience and understanding of the processes and design of Water Treatment Plants. Machiel has performed a variety of roles in his work on the Snow Hydro 2.0 and Barangaroo Metro Station projects, and brings a large amount of background information from his studies in civil and environmental engineering. Machiel has accumulated numerous skills working on infrastructure projects relating to Digital Engineering, BIM coordination and has supported the design coordination and As-Built verification processes. Mitchell McCloskeyDigital Delivery CoordinatorAs a Digital Delivery Coordinator for IIMBE, Mitch is responsible for authoring, auditing, and supporting adherence to BIM information requirements on several key projects. With a background in residential construction and a Bachelor of Architectural Studies, Mitch brings valuable expertise to his role. Previously, Mitch worked as a BIM Coordinator for a commercial construction company in Wellington, where he played a crucial role in coordinating the construction of the Heke Rua Archives, New Zealand’s National Archives Repository. Having relocated to Sydney, Mitch has enjoyed the transition to IIMBE, where he coordinates BIM efforts for multiple projects spanning the commercial, education and data-centre market sectors. His passion for collaborating with like-minded professionals to drive innovative designs and streamline construction processes makes him a valuable addition to the team. Roberto SpadaccinoSenior Digital Delivery ConsultantRoberto is an industry professional with over 13 years of experience across Italy and Australia. His background spans across Architectural, Structural and Services management from early project establishment to project completion and operations. In Italy he worked as BIM Manager for an integrated company specialising in Aviation, large steel structures and industrial plants pioneering the implementation of the BIM standard and training of his team. He then moved to Australia in 2016 where he joined the global Architectural firm Woods Bagot as the Studio BIM Manager for Melbourne, Perth and New Zealand. This role required managing the majority of their iconic projects, as well as being a representative the global BIM governance group formed to develop standards, user experience and company workflows. In 2021, he returned to the construction industry where he was appointed Digital Engineering Lead at Resolve Insight, with the task of growing the Digital Engineering Stream as well as implementing, managing, and resourcing the digital engineering deliverables and client interfaces. He joins the Melbourne IIMBE team as Senior Digital Delivery Consultant where he intends to utilise his industry experience to further develop company standards and workflows through collaborating with our team of professionals, pushing the boundaries for Digital Delivery Projects. Chris TateNew Business Lead Senior Digital Advisory ConsultantChris is a Digital Advisory, Digital Engineering, BIM and information management process specialist. Chris’ career spans over 20 years as an Architectural Technologist, Project Technology Specialist, IT lead and Emerging Technologies (R+D) lead, Digital Engineering Manager and Digital Twin consultant working in the UK and Australia on large scale buildings and major infrastructure projects. Since 2017, Chris has focused on advising clients at Board and senior leadership levels on the application of Digital Design, Digital Engineering (DE), Information Management and Digital Asset Management across their organisations and projects. Chris prides himself on maximising efficiency gains through digital disruption but with a considered and consultative approach to the cultural change required around the agreed solution. Lucinda JuddSenior Digital Advisory ConsultantLucinda’s background in Architecture and extensive experience in digital management has allowed her to develop effective strategies for managing the delivery of large and complex projects. She has a strong background in developing Digital and BIM documentation and implementation to ensure project requirements are met.
